The Dragon Blooms
Took the cable car up the mountain only to be greeted by the unrelenting cold rain and heavy mist. The Tianmen mountain range was unrelenting in its weather conditions. I could not get a single shot of the surrounding mountain range and decided that this is the best time to capture some still life.
Inspiring by recently acquired traditional Chinese paintings the day before, I was constantly looking for the perfect branch to capture. The piece that I acquired was a Chinese Cherry Blossom tree branch shaped like a dragon. It was painted by fingers on a huge 6 feet wide fan made of soft wood that dances in the wind and light.
