Boulders Bay Inhabitant
Fresh out of the water, an African Penguin (Spheniscus demersus) aka the Black-footed Penguin, was spotted flapping its wings before joining the rest of the colony who are sun-bathing by the beach. These penguins are nicknamed "Jackasses" by the locals thanks to their donkey sounding brays. A full adult is a little over 2 feet tall.
Boulders Bay is part of the Table Mountain National Park in South Africa.
